Horses
RICHMOND'S ROSETTE
2009 Hanoverian mare by Richmond out of a TB mare. I purchased Rose (as a 9 yr. old) in Feb. 2018 on a whim! I wasn’t in the market for another horse for myself but there were a few things about her that appealed to me. I love her size (15.2ish) and her feminine petite build. She has a beautiful face that everyone remarks on. She has a wonderful attitude and work ethic. She is forward and energetic without being hot. Prior to her life with me she was being used as a hunter. Maybe a bit too perky for that job? So far she seems to enjoy her career change from hunters to dressage. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for us.

Purchased in Sept. 2013 as a sales/training project. Several yrs. later and a few half hearted attempts to sell, he is now off the market. I am too attached to part with this guy. He is quite the character and we have developed a special bond. When he sees my car drive in he greets me at the gate. When he hears my voice he knickers and knickers and talks up a storm. I have no idea of his breeding nor do I know his exact age. He is very trainable particularly when treats are involved. We will occasionally compete in the effort to support and promote dressage ponies in the dressage arena but mainly I will continue his education and training and just enjoy him each and every day. He is proof that great things truly do come in small packages!

FOREIGNER
1997-2018
Hanoverian/TB gelding by Werther. Bred by Steve & Bettie Carroll of Sullivan Farm, Walkertown, NC. I purchased Foreigner as an unbroken 2 1/2 year old. He had an irresistible personality with a strong desire to please. Such a sweet, kind, generous horse with a wonderful funny character. He gave so much, never saying no. In the fall of 2012 Foreigner and I performed our first Grand Prix test. In good faith, I can honestly say I have now trained a horse to the Grand Prix. It was a long journey but a fun and rewarding experience. By 2015 he was semi retired and enjoyed life with a lighter work load. He was in his glory when taking care of and teaching other riders or hacking around the farm. He was my buddy for 18 yrs. So many great memories, so many great laughs.

STIBBY ME
2002 German Riding Pony stallion owned by Louise Rascoe, Longview Farm, Bahama, NC.  It has been a pure pleasure to train and show Stibby since his importation in 2006.  We have proven thus far that ponies can be competitive in the dressage arena.  Stibby is a happy, jolly little fellow with an abundance of personality and a workmanlike attitude.

ANDIAMO
1989 - 2013.  Hanoverian/TB gelding by Gambrinus.  Bred by Ann Kitchell of Huntington Farm, S. Strafford, VT.  I purchased Andiamo as a green broke 3 ½ year old.   Our story together is too long to tell but I will say he was a wonderful partner and friend for many great years helping me fulfill many many dreams.  He was trained and shown successfully by me through I-1.  He helped me earn my USDF silver medal, and he played a huge role in helping me to earn my USDF instructor certification.  With a heavy heart and many tears, January 31, 2013 was the day to say good bye.  His presence will be missed but he will always occupy a special place in my heart that no other horse could possibly fulfill.

DECIDIDO
1977 - 2008.  At the age of 31 it was time to say good bye to my dear old friend.   Decidido taught me many lessons about riding, dressage, and life in general.  Together in our partnership we trained each other for the first time to Prix St. George.  May you rest in peace dear friend.  I think of you often.
